Seattle Business

I arrived in early afternoon and after  checking in headed for downtown to see Pike Place.

Parking is a bit tricky in that region, but can be found if your persistant. I did pretty well parking in the lot on Stewart and First street.

I got there a bit late in the day though. On Sunday's the market closes at 5PM so be sure to get there early enough to see what you want to see.

The ambiance and atmosphere of the market can't be beat though, with interesting performers and interesting items to buy you could easily spend hours in the market.

The oldest continously operating market in the US it is truly the one Seattle site not to miss.

Be sure you commit yourself to buying fresh cut flowers for your hotel room at a minimum and see the fish throwing guys.

From the market I made the journey across the bridge in North Seattle to the one dining place in all of Seattle I was told to not miss...Ray's Boathouse.

The view from Ray's Boathouse is simply incredible and is the most spectactular show in Seattle at sunset.

The good food and spirits add to the ambiance. My recommendation is to dine at Ray's Cafe outside on the verenda at Sunset.

Be sure to make reservations well in advance for this most highly desired spot and time.

Once there be sure to order a single malt scotch and have the Chatham Strait Sablefish in Sake Kasu, the house speciality. I cannot describe other than to say it is succulent and sweet.

The fish literally melts in your mouth leaving a faint sweet aftertaste that is to die for.

This is my recommendation for the one major thing to do in Seattle if you have no other time.
