We took this vacation last summer in our RV with my 12 year old daughter and our two dogs.  We stayed in a campground in Davenport.  It was called Fairport State Park.  This is nice for seeing the river and the barges but that's it.  Don't camp here.  The trains run all night right through the campground.  I mean litterally not more than 10 feet from the campers.

We also spent too much time in Davenport there really wasn't that much to do.  We could have done it in a day.  Skip the River cruise if you've done one river cruise this one is no different.  Nothing exciting.  The village of East Davenport wasn't much to look at either.  We stopped into Lagomarcino's for ice cream it was alright, but I am not a big ice cream fanantic, my family is.  Wild Cat Den State Park was nice.

We had the most fun at Michael's Fun World but be prepared to spend some money.  Every individual activity costs.  They needed to have a one price for all of it.  We had not rode go karts or done laser tage before and it was fun.

Cleveland

Jellystone was nice if you have kids, lots for them to do.  We usually settle for a KOA and are disappointed by the cramped spots because we want full hookups.  This was much better, the kids would have been happy hanging out at camp all day.

We never got time to go to the Premium Outlet mall but it was close to Jellystone, if we had more time we would have done it.  Same for the Rock and Roll hall of fame, the Ball field and the Trattoria Roman Gardens.  Because we were tired and wanted to get back to camp,  we stopped at the only place we could find on the way without getting ourselves to lost.  We should have tried harder because what we found was lackluster.  Cleveland Botanical Gardens didn't make the cut either.  We just had more planned then time to do it.  Next time we would skip Davenport and spend more time in Cleveland or Niagara.

Piatto Novo was a nice splurg.  Go for the brunch on Sunday it is quiter and you get more for the money when it comes to feeding picky kids.  I really wanted to go to see the waterfall.

The West Side Market was cool.  Only problem was we had no room in our RV to take home any of the great foods.  We ate at the little diner attached to the Market.  I don't remember the name but the food was good and it had that big city dinner vib.

We did go to the zoo and decided we have seen enough zoos that there is nothing left to see at them.  In the future zoos will not be on our itenary unless it is the National Zoo in DC or San Diego because they have pandas and that is all we have yet to see.

Niagara

The Niagara KOA wasn't great but there weren't alot of choices in the area that had full hookups.  Everything about Niagara Falls was cool and we could've used an extra day.  Do it all while you are there.  The fireworks wer cool.  Only regret not having passports to crossover into Cananda.  It looked really cool over on the other side.  A lot more to do if you can cross.
