Louisville Legends and Applebee's Ballpark
When we pulled up to the ballpark 15 minutes before the game started, we were dismayed to find a line at the gate. We thought we had missed the start of a double header. We asked the gentleman behind us in line what was going on. He said, "We love the Legends." Turns out he is on the booster club and has hosted a ballplayer the past two years. The turn out was amazing. The ballpark was very nice and clean. We were really looking forward to the game until it rained. The owner came out to assure everyone that the fireworks would go on as planned beut the game could not continue because of the shape of the bullpens.
It is a kid-friendly facility. We would have enjoyed the game. It was not imbued with nostalgia like Bosse Field but it was a nice venue.
