I used to live in Chicago Heights but haven't been to Chicago in years. My husband and two children (ages 21 and 15)are planning a 5-day trip. Any suggestions on what to do and what to skip, best "Chicago" places to eat, etc., would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

We have made reservations at the Congress Plaza Hotel. Some friends of ours stayed there last year and said it was an old hotel but the location was great.

We are taking the Saluki Amtrak train from Carbondale to Union Station. Plan on buying CTA passes there for easy transportation around the city.
