2007 Road Trip - The Southern Circle

It's now 1:30 am on Saturday, August 25, 2007. We just arrived Mobile. Our trip originally was going to start on the 25th. However, we decided to leave Beaumont, Texas today and drive this far. We left Beaumont about 6:40 pm. We made a stop in Crowley, LA, and continued on to Baton Rouge, LA. We arrived and departed Baton Rouge at about 10:00 pm. We made no stops there and continued on to Slidell, LA, where we stopped to get gas. After getting gas we continued on to Mobile. No other stops. Tonight we are staying at the LaQuinta Inn. I believe it is off of Interstate 65. It's an ok place, except for the fact that we couldn't get the air condition to work when we first arrived. It's working now though.
I'm pretty bushed. I did all the driving today. Gary doesn't know it yet but he is going to drive all the way to Savannah, GA tomorrow. Originally we were going to try and leave at 8:00 am, but I think since it is so late tonight we probably won't get out of here until about 9:00 am. We plan on making a stop in Destin, FL to check it out.

Interesting. Enjoyed your trip. Could have warned you about New Century Buffet. Use to live not far from there in North Jax. Savannah is great.
