2007 Vacation XCOUNTRY
Mon 07/02/07 (day 1)
Day One
Today we left at two o'clock in the morning. We stopped at Brandy's Restaurant , that is known as one of the best restaurants in Flagstaff for its coffee drinks and egg's benedict, for breakfast and had some wonderful chocolate chip pancakes, egg's benedict and eggs and bacon. We stopped at meteor crater in arizona to see the largest preserved crater on earth. We spent some time at a beautiful side trip in Grants, NM called el Malpais aka "The Bad Lands." We spent an hour or so taking some beautiful pictures. Pictures will be updated in journal as soon as possible. We arrived in Albuquerque at 6 o'clock California time. We had dinner [which wasn't all that great] in the restaurant in the hotel, and went up to our room to relax and get some sleep. We drove about 650 miles for thirteen and a half hours, not including all of our breaks.
