How I planned this trip
My husband attends an annual convention in San Diego for ESRI so this year I decided to tag along and see the sights. I used Local Wally's Website: http://www.localwally.com/ to help me pick the best spots and to find good restaurants. (Yahoo travel wasn't around back then.) A lot of his information has changed since then, but he's still a great resource.
I will say that restaurants were a big problem for us. We tried several that Wally recommended but didn't have much luck. We found most everything to be overpriced and not all that tasty. The next few trips to SD we stuck to the tried and true. I'd rather pay for Hard Rock Cafe and know what I'm getting will be edible, than pay $$ and end up with something with no flavor.
