Today was really the first day. Despite getting in at midnight, we looked around a bit and collapsed. We adults had stayed at Napili Sunset before, which is right on the beach, but Napili Shores came up in the package so it was new. Breakfast at the Sea House at Napili Kai resort. A great start. Table by the bay, kid happy, mom happy, dad happy. Note: everything with kalua pork is good. Not so wet as some places, more like a smoky carnitas, but really good. And strong coffee. We checked out Snorkel Bob (old fav) vs the upstart Boss Frog. Conclusion: Boss Frog has some better rates but seems to be a front for timshare presentation "deals." Might work for some, not for me. Fully outfitted at SBob's. The rest of the day was spent at the beach at Napili, doing some basic snorkeling. Dad wore a rashie (swim rash shirt, whatever) and mom took care of Emily's sunblock. Somewhere in this Mom's sunblock got neglected (sound familar?) so Elizabeth, the most experienced and safe one, got a killer sunburn.

Nothing beats THe Four Seasons & Spa at Maui.s Wailea !! Fantastic getaway.!! looking forward to going again.

You didn't say much about Napili Shores. We first discovered it about 5 years ago when we were attending a wedding and have gone back two times since. If you book one of the two ocean front buildings you will have died and gone to heaven! You can book directly from owners. Also discovered a newish, friendly fresh fish market and barbequed many meals on the beautiful Napili Shores grounds. Other recent discoveries: CT Grill for delicious eggs benedict and loco moco. Also great loco moco - and a bargain - up at the Kapalua Store, great pizza at Dolly's! You must spend the day on beautiful Napili Bay, complete with a swim/walk to the Kai for happy hour frivolity. Can't wait to return!
