Flight in was smooth as glass. Had the opportunity to sit next to una latina who insisted on speaking no ingles and speaking a lot!!!!! The great thing about it was I realized that I still had a good take on the language and to be honest this is the first I have really spoke english since I left Newark!!
This is the room. Nice, a bit more modern than my tastes but the bed is wicked comfortable!!!
Sorry Del there is no cafe named after you. :-(
After spend most of the day on the beach I went to this place, again en el barrio called the Blue Dolphin. It's right on the ocean and had this meal called Mofongo con carne Fritos, now I know why most Puerto Rican men have pot bellies, everything is frito, frito and very good!
Isla Verde beach....will be there for a while tomorrow!! :-) Private beach so it does not get crowded. Although to get out there from the hotel you have to be dressed, the hotel has a strict dress code, no hats, shirts on, shoes on, pants on...:-( You should see it here at night, everyone one is decked out, all the woman look like they are in a wedding! I am way under dressed. That's why I hang out in the "chinchorros."
Same beach at night, after a few coronas and shark watching at the Blue Dolphin, me and my inner child had a romantic interlude on the beach. hehehehe. Stay tunned for day two!!!!
