We had an early flight out of Indy because we wanted to make good use of all of our time. We had such a short trip planned.
We saw Greg Odon at La Guardia airport and Bridget got her picture taken with him. We were so excited and that was just the beginning of our trip!
We checked into the Paramount hotel and checked our luggage with them since our room wasn't ready yet. We headed down to the village to check out a street fair and we ended up at they Magnolia Bakery getting cupcakes. They were alright but they weren't knock your socks off good either!
We headed down to Chinatown for some purse shopping and had a great time. Bridget was a little freaked out at first but once she got the hang of it, she really liked it. She ended up bring home 9 Purses!!! Ok, they weren't all for her. She would kill me if I didn't say that.
We wandered north back up through the village and ran into Molly Shannon. You know, Mary-Catherine Galligher!! How cool is that! I just love wandering around the village. We found a little cafe and had caesar salads for lunch. It was so hot outside so salad sounded perfect!!
We checked into the hotel and freshened up a little bit. We took the subway up to Central Park and wandered around and did some people watching!
I can't resist taking pictures of the imagine symbol everytime I see it!!
We showered and headed to the show. We were off to see Xanadu!! I loved that show when I was little girl. You couldn't tell me that it was a flop. I was only 6 years old when it came out and I thought the movie was magical!! Unfortunately, Bridget never got the time to watch my DVD that I gave her so she didn't even know what it was about.
I can laugh about it now but I didn't realize that the play was a spoof of the movie. I think I was kinda offended!! Poor Bridget was lost the first 20 minutes before she realized they were making fun of it since she had never saw the movie. It was an ok play. Everyone else in the theater LOVED it. We were in the minority that didn't think it was genius. There were alot of funny parts but I guess I just expected something else!! I can honestly say that I am glad that I saw it but I wouldn't go see it again.
We ended the night with dinner at the ESPN Zone. Everything was excellent! We got the chocolate chip cookie dessert and it was wonderful!
We headed back to the hotel to get some sleep. We had had a long day and we were exhausted!! Goodnight!
