Day 2 - Training begins

Today we began our PowerSchool training.  We learned about the layout, what information is contained for individual students, and searching for both individuals and groups of students.  We have a class of 6 people including us.  One is from Washington DC, one from Seattle area, and 2 from the Newark area.

One man is staying at our hotel and had avery similar experience with the shuttle not coming to pick him up.  The shuttle here at Comfort Suites runs only during weekday mornings is what we were told yesterday.  I would be suprised if it ever moves. 

After class we took a cab to Penn Station here in Newark and walked over to the Ironbound area, not really much interesting there, but it is very ethnic.  We walked back and took the PATH train to 33rd street and walked over to Times Square.  We ate at ESPN Zone, went to Hard Rock and looked around, and stopped in at the Hawaiian Tropic Zone.

I would like to know what you think of powerschool? Our district has just adopted it and we are still having problems. What are your thoughts? I would have loved to have come to NY for taining. bj

It's nice to be organized and well informed.
