From Colombia!

Well, one thing: It is not a good idea to drink copious amounts of red wine three hours before a twelve-hour trip!

Anyway, after a very tiresome trip, I made it home safe and sound. I am happy but a little overwhelmed by the change. The people I have interacted with are so polite, humble, and honest, and there is also a general optimism and pride about Colombia and its president.

My family is well, same beautiful big smiles that I remember!

Beautiful Medellin and the surrounding towns, like Santa Elena,Sta. Fe,Guatape etc. The people are so nice and accommodating. We had a very pleasant visit there in Nov. 2012, will go back there in a heartbeat.

My wife is from the Antioquia region and we love visiting multiple times (when money lets us) throughout the year! We especially enjoy going to the coffee regions outside of Medellin to enjoy things that are typically not experienced in the US.

Dencing at Mangos on the outskirts of Medellin is truly an excellent club experience -- Don't miss it!
