Day of arrival!
We traveled for 9 hours to reach our final destination of Mackinac City. The trip took longer than I anticipated. It was pretty uneventful. We arrived around 9:00 PM and decided to head over the Kewadin Casino across the bridge in St. Ignace. We weren't impressed. We stayed at the Baymont Inn and Suites. They were under renovations while we were there but it was comfortable. It was a couple of blocks from the ferry lines and right next to Mackinac Crossing which is a shopping complex.

I went to Mackinac City in August of 2006. BEAUTIFUL!!!! I wish I had more time to see the sights in that area but what I seen will always be a great memory of mine.

I LOVE Mackinac Island and Mackinac City, theyre sooo beautiful!!! A couple of my favorite places in Michigan.

I have been to Mackinaw Island many times,and biked around the island,and even went parasailing, but the best ride I have taken around the island was by horse and carriage.You seem to see many more sights this way.

I'v been to Mackinaw island many times and have loved every trip. When my two daughters were young, we used to go for the day and ride bikes around the island. A couple of times we made the trip with other family members. When my girls were older we would stay on the island overnight. Now that they are grown and gone from home, I take trip there with girl friends for a week-end. Staying on the island is a real treat, something I do every year. It's a must see for anyone that needs a little R&R.
