Hanoi City Trip 2007

GREAT!I LOVE HANOI SO MUCH.BUT I HAVE EVER GONE TO HERE, I ONLY BE HEARD ABOUT ITS.THANK YOU SO MUCH BECAUSE YOU GIVE ME ANYTHING HANOI'S SO I NEED.ONE MORE,THAHKS SO MUCH!

try to go there during winter time, it's really hot in hanoi in june, unless u r used to the hot weather :)

When you go to Vietnam, we will go to Hanoi first, check in Hotel in Older quarter (note: sleep in Older quarter you can go to nitht market)

First day
- Pick up at air, transfer to Ha noi by Noi Bai's taxi
- Have Breakfast in restaurant.

Vietnam is great! But u really need to plan your trip carefully. Since tourist don't speak Viet and the local hardly .. speak english. Do prepare with paper and pen before u want to buy anything! They can easily cheat you from their innocent face! Not much sightseeing in the city. But its definelty a best place to buy local souvenier! About local food.. hahahah.. hardly find any good restaurant around..unless u dine in a good hotel !Another option is,If u don;t mind to eat on the street ...you may join the locals with their super small table and chairs..!:)...Transportation system in Hanoi...is another out of expectation! there's no proper system.. on the road... so.. must be carefull and don't run like a chicken ( like me ).Everywhere u see ,it motorbikes, bicycle, trishaw, car ---afew!I think.. all these makes hanoi so special.I will definetly want to go back again un another time.

P/S:Halong and catba Island is a must for those who really want to make ur trip a memorable!

been there a week ago alone but it was great! shopping! shopping! shopping! always bring your map with you and when you ride a xe om, write down the address of the place where you want to go. my experienced was i told the driver to send me to Hang Bong st. but he brought me to Hang Bun st. Hahay!!! hope to be back there with longer time and visit Halong and Catba Island...

I plan to go there by end of this year around 4 days and do not know where to go ,to eat and shopping .

I maybe stay at hostel or hotel but not fix it .

I need to get more details .

The Green Tangerine is a cute restaurant which serves French food. You can hardly expect a French restaurant located there by looking at the neigborhood stores and all such.
Luxe travel guide will be quite helpful. Shopping was good, especially for homeware.
Well, didn't try the real local restaurants... Will definitely try those in my next Viet trip.
