Goodbye US...
Murgh. This is the sound a Sara makes when she has to wake up before 5 AM. My suprachiasmatic nucleus has already taken a hit (sorry, nerd moment), but I imagine if you talk to me in a day or so I'll have even more issues. Yesterday was a good start to the trip - sharing cheesecake with one's best friend and having complete and utter control over the radio/CD player (bwa ha ha!) is pretty much ideal in my mind. Subway at lunch helps, too. Of course, by the end of the trip, roundabout the Seattle area, Mom and I began having "discussions" about my driving experience. Luckily I enlightened her, and now she sees the error of her thinking. ;-) When we got to the hotel, we realized just how large a handicapped room can be, as they had decided to give us one. By the time I'd gotten over the fact that I totally could've stepped out onto a lower level of the roof from our window (not safe for a spaz like me) AND the shower the size of the small room AND the moveable shower head like the one I use at the vet clinic, I was pretty much zonked. Mom took issue with the fact that I had sprawled across the bed, but it's not my fault she only got one bed for the room. Two episodes of Law & Order later (da da da da dum....) and many much bustling from the mother, I crashed. And this morning I woke up next to a cockatoo. Seriously, I've never seen hair like that, except maybe on that one guy from American Idol. Hysterical giggling ensued, followed by a "SHHH!!" when Mom remembered the people next door. I don't think they knew how right they were to give us a handicapped room...anyway, we may not be so lucky with computer access from now on, but you'll hear from us. Toodles, US. Canada (layover) and Great Britain are on the horizon.
