We arrived in Vancouver at about 11:00 pm and went straight to the hotel to rest up for our first day of vacation. The Coast Vancouver Airport Hotel was easy to find but I'm glad we only had to spend a few hours there. Their keycard system was on the fritz so we had to be escorted up to our room. When we made it inside, the walls were thin enough to hear highway traffic and other hotel guests. Luckily we were pretty tired and fell asleep quickly.
I'm actually driving up from Southern Ca. to Oregon and up to Seattle, Wa. on the first wk of Oct. I was wondering if it's still a good idea to drive up there since Oct is pretty much already into the rainy season. Anyone familiar of the rainy weather up in the Pacific NW?
I Am Wanting To Move To Tampa! Hopefully By March 2010! Im A 55 Year Old Female! I Am From Las Vegas NV. For 30 Years ! I Really Need To Get Out Of The Desert!!
I was planning on embarking on a similar trip but in reverse. I live in Sacramento and want to take the round trip from here up through Redding, and into Oregon and Washington and back down to California taking the coastal route. I'm just not sure how safe it is take this trip during the winter weather. I hear its kind of harsh driving conditions etc. but I'm curious to see the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, I can't wait. From travelling that route, can you tell if its going to a rough ride / trip?
