New York City Theater Trip 2007

We arrived in NY and checked our bags at our hotel.  We stayed at the Hampton Inn Times Square North.  I had stayed there before when it was a Howard Johnson.  They had done some renovations and it was really nice.  It included a free hot breakfast,  cookies in the evening,  coffee and hot chocolate all day, and free internet!  What more could you ask for!  Ray's pizza is across the street and they have great garlic knots!

We headed south on the subway to Century 21 Department store to start our shopping.  It was closed for a jewish holiday so we ended up eating lunch at Stage Deli and heading to Chinatown.  

We all had a blast purse shopping in Chinatown.  We were there for a couple of hours and were in some very weird places!!  It was alot fun.  Kathy was the winner with 10 purses when all was said and done.

This is one of the sweatshops that we walked through to get to a purse room.  We called it the chicken shop.  There was a chicken in a sink that we assumed was dead but it turned out to be alive!

We headed back to the hotel to rest and get ready for our broadway show.  We all had tickets to Grease that night.  We ate dinner at Pigalle's that was down the road from our hotel and it was good. 

Grease was a wonderful show!  It made you want to get up and dance.  Max and Laura were great as Sandy and Danny.

After the show we wandered through Times Square and had a drink at the Millenium Hotel bar.  I had been craving a Kahlua and cream ever since my trip to Grand Cayman.  $8.00 later,  I was satisfied!  We were all pretty exhausted so it was time to head back to the hotel and call it a night!
