Breakfast was wonderful every morning. We ate every meal looking out over the ocean. We spent most of the second day on the beach. We met Ann's husband, Tony. They travel to Grand Cayman every year on their anniversary and always stay at the beach club. She told us the best company to use to see Stingray City is Captain Marvin's so we called and made reservations for friday afternoon.
Beautiful blue water. It was like a huge swimming pool with fish in it!! We snorkeled right off the beach. There was a coral reef out by the boats.
Cruise ships were in port today so our beach was full of cruisers. They didn't really bother us though. The resort made sure that we had our own beach area with chairs and umbrellas.
These little guys were everywhere! Even in my beach bag! I found out the hard way when one crawled up my bare leg! EEK!
Before dinner, Bridget and I took a road trip into Georgetown for some shopping. We took a cab into town and it is very unnerving to ride on the wrong side of the road. I don't think I could drive there. Georgetown shuts down around 5:00 PM once the cruise ships leave so we only shopped for about an hour and a half. We got most of our souvenirs bought today. We headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. Tony and Ann joined us most evening for dinner and alot of times for lunch. I had fish every night for dinner. Dinner was a nice, leisurely event. I really liked that. Eating out with my husband is like a marathon so it was kind of nice to slow down for a change!!
Our beautiful view during dinner!
After dinner, we watched the US Open at the bar with Ann. Our TV in the room only got 3 channels. We were pretty wiped out at the end of each day after spending the day in the sun.
