This is my second trip to Vegas. I’ve always wanted to go back since I went last time. There are still many places in Vegas that I haven’t visited. We got on a late afternoon flight. The weather was warm and sunny, and our thoughts were on our buffet dinner already!
The flight was on-time without a hitch, but the taxi line at LAS was terrible. We finally got to Aladdin just to find another waiting line. Anyhow, I asked for a free room upgrade and they gave it to me. Our room was beautiful: a nice view at the Bellagio fountain. Although we were also facing the construction in the front of the hotel, no problem, the fountain view made up for it. I was so glad that we were so high up because we could avoid hearing the construction noises in the morning (I’ve read hotel reviews on Tripadvisor that some guests were furious about the construction noises).
We ended up eating at Aladdin. Many people have told me the buffet at Aladdin was one of the best in Vegas and they were right. I ate so much and it was time for me to walk it off. We started out walking toward Paris which was next door. We passed by Bally’s and then crossed over to Bellagio. The Botanical Garden inside Bellagio was amazing. Last time I was here the Botanical Garden was closed off but not this time! I was getting ready to snap lots of pictures but only to find a dead camera – my battery went DEAD. The movie I shot when I watched the fountain show must have exhausted my battery. URRRR!!!
Okay, it was time for some gambling then. Slot machines... ding ding ding ding ding...
Update: Aladdin Hotel & Casino is now the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
