Hawaii trip from March 1st and on. Visiting Kristl and Jason! More of a photography and food tour than a touristy thing. But some of that sprinkled in as well for good measure.

Thu 03/01/07 (day 1)

Arrival

Arrived @ Honolulu airport at about 8:35. Someone on the plane had a medical emergency, and we had to wait a bit to let the medical team reach him/her and give her some help. Hope he/she's doing OK! Passing out almost reaching the islands is no fun.

After grabbing my bag from the claim, I head out to find Kristl just arriving around the corner. She took me to a place where you can get ramen AND curry AND gyoza, for about $8. Dude, mainland!!! Hellooooooo why don't you have this kind of deal??

Went back to Kristl's grandma's place, and ate the yummy food while watching Chumong, this historical K-drama which Kristl loves watching, I think mostly because she thinks Chumong is hot, although I'm gonna have to doubt that because of his funny hair and silly looking moustache and soul patch.

BTW, Kristl's grandma's house has to have the strangest layout I'd ever seen, for a house.

Which makes it totally awesome.

Hi Christopher, I was just surfing the net and came upon your posting of your Hawaii trip. I'm curious as to how you got such great pix. Can you offer me some tips? Did you use a strong filter and zoom lens to take all the close-up shots? Or did you just use what the digital camera came with. Also, how did you get the night shots with such clarity? Great pictures.

You have taken the most beautiful pictures of the animals, and the flowers. I love the seal pictures. My husband and I are looking for trips to go on for our 5th year Wedding Anniversary. Maybe Hawaii not sure yet. The plane ride is awfully long. But we do want to go someday. We love Bermuda it is exotic and only one hour and 45 mintute trip. It is expensive but close we have been there 4 times. Does anyone know of a nice hotel in Hawaii near the beach at a resonable price? I know nothing of about Hawaii only Bermuda. Thank you for posting your beautiful pictures it is much appreciated.
