the parthenon
From Memphis to Nashville it was about a two and a half hour drive. We followed all of our directions exactly and found the Parthenon without a hitch. It is on a very large flatland park area. It includes: The Partenon, a good sized lake with ducks, a long spannign feild next to the Parthenon, a tall, large bell, a playground, a garden area with overpasses and multiple statues. Inside the Parthenon has a gallery downstair and a history on the building of this and the original prathenons. No photography is allowed in the area. We walked around the entire prathenon, then we ran and laid out in the feild to take some more pictures. There was a statue with benches that all had different aspects of goverment and such i.e. devotion, wisdom, traffic, also pointing out north, south, east, and west. It spans across a fairly large area and the running around was exerting us so we went for a walk around the lake, and next to the lake was a mid-sized garden that looked liek somethign from alice and wonderland.
