Worst customer service I have ever received. We purchased a Groupon coupon to use, and when we attempted to check out at the end of the night, the owner was unable to verify the Groupon code, told us it probably wouldn t work until tomorrow, and refused to honor it- even though she accepted Groupons from three other families while we were standing there. When my mother politely asked if this was the best customer service they could provide, the owner responded that it wasn t her fault that she wouldn t take the groupon and that we should call Groupon to get our money back. I believe the reasonable, customer-oriented response would have been to take the Groupon and run it herself tomorrow.
We let the owner know that we found the customer service poor, and would not be returning with our business and would be letting our friends know that our service was very poor. We did not attempt to hide our disatisfaction with our service from the other families who were brought over to check out in front of us. In the end, both waitresses and the owner ganged up on my mother and I and scolded us for not being nice by sharing our disatisfaction in earshot of other customers. We were not lashing out with personal insults, but were clearly stating that if they did not honor the advertisement they chose to offer through Groupon and that I had already paid for, we would not be returning, and would recommend others not return as well.
Finally, the owner agreed to refund us the price of our Groupon if we came back tomorrow with it. All in all, this took twenty minutes. And neither of the waitresses were serving their other customers while they proceded to argue and attack us. Now I have to spend part of my day tomorrow trying to work out this problem which is clearly a concern between Lee s and Groupon. It s hard to believe this amount of dissatisfaction was worth $10 to the owner.
