This is the healthiest and least expensive Mexican Restaurant I've found in the area located across from Chuck E Cheese, this is like a little oasis, cheap beer, tasty & chunky fish & shrimp tacos...must check it out!
I love this place.. the food is awesome.. the service is awesome.. the prices are very reasonable.. I come here a lot because it tastes good and like I said.. it doesn't hurt the pockets.. I especially like their fish tacos.. they make it to exactly how you want it.. made to order.. unlike other places that will use pre-seasoned or pre-cooked fish fillets.. anyhow.. I highly recommend it!
This place is such a find...great, simple Mexican & Seafood...I usually grab a couple shrimp tacos & plate of the best calamari in Huntington Beach when I'm in the area to take home with me, after enjoying a great lunch or dinner. They are a cross the street from Chuck E Cheese in the A frame building cross streets Mcfadden & Edwards in HB. The Seafood Zone Mexican Restaurant!
We love going to this place! Carlos and the staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. The fish and shrimp tacos and burritos are all great. And they have the best calamari in Orange County. The portion is huge and cooked perfectly. We've tried calamari at many restaurants - expensive and casual, and this place has the best.
Super fresh food and great prices! I ordered the 2 fish taco combo baja style and my bf got the shrimp one. Both of us loved it. The tacos were amazing and had some special sauce unlike any sauce ive had on a fish taco AND it came w/ avocado. the rice and beans were loaded and when we ordered a side of guacamole, it took a few minutes. We thought maybe they forgot about it, but NO, the chef was just making our little order completely fresh. Customer service here was also great, I'm not sure if it was the owner who was helping us, but he was so nice. The location is a bit unassuming...if it were in just a little bit of a different area, it would probably be packed non stop. If you live in the area, definitely come here instead of a baja or rubios. The food is healthier, fresher, and you gotta support your mom n pop operations!
This place is everything a good Mexican joint should be - simple, fresh ingredients, and authentic dishes. These are not the greasy monstrosities hawked to the uninformed and called Mexican food - there is true talent in the kitchen here. The shrimp tacos are by far my favorite (preference: grilled, never fried), though I'm not against wrapping it all up in a big tortilla either. And make sure to try the salsa; as something that is really either hit or miss at most places, this is a big hit. And don't let the name confuse you - they've got all the prerequisites like carne asada accounted for.
You can eat inside or out on the nice patio, and the staff is friendly - it's a family owned one-off, somewhat hidden behind the 7/11 on the corner. But once you discover this place, you'll always remember exactly where it's at.
