Papa s and Beer at the Anderson location has provided us with excellent service UNTIL our last visit. They must have a new cook. He/she overcooked and burnt our food. The fajitas were black when they arrived and even though we turn them several times, it kept burning the meat and vegetables to the point that it was unbearable. We sent it back and the waiter was very pleasant about it yet, it is unfortunate that it had to happen. Also, even though the restaurant was empty, we were sent to the far end of the restaurant which to me, it didn t make sense. Furthermore, if they are toasting spicy peppers, they should turn on the extractor. Several customers were coughing and the staff was completely oblivious to the situation on hand. I gave a 2 star even though the service was worse than that but because in previous ocassions it has been great, I still recommend people to go. Just fire the chef or retrain him. ;-)
So I have been to this location a couple of times during lunch and food and service was fine. I heard from others that the service at night was terrible, but I chose not to believe until I went this past saturday and sat at the bar with my husband. The bar was empty, all but 2 other people. The bartender ignored us. She came by & said she would be with us and then was just talking it up with the staff. I think she was more worried about what they were doing than her customers. After 5 minutes of sitting there with no drink, we got up and left and no one even noticed! Wow! Does this place really want business? I don't think I will be going back after that, especially not to have a drink!! Just rude & bad business!
