Description

DUO Restaurant & Lounge is the brainchild of two adventurous and entrepreneurial sisters, who know a thing or two about working in the restaurant industry. Stemming from a family of restaurateurs, sisters Lorraine and Sabina Belkin embark on their first ever self-owned and operated restaurant. Everything from the hand placed Swarovski crystals on the walls to the never before seen in New York illuminated menus featuring their contemporary American cuisine, is a result of the endless creativity that the inseparable Belkin sisters possess. Located in a neighborhood that has recently seen an influx of notable restaurants and deemed by many as "NoMad," DUO is slated for an early June opening and will feature a variety of show stopping contemporary American dishes.

Love to feel filled with luxury and DUO does that. A great selection of wines and foods, beautiful people, and such delicious food. The atmosphere is glamourous but stillhas a relaxed intimate feel to it. It s a place to have fun and talk about life and business and just sit back and relax and enjoy life!

Everything was wonderful including the interesting choices of cocktails and decadent detailed decor. Sevice was the best. Food options, presentation and preparation certainly ranks very high for my standard. I will be back for sure.

The food s great and the menu is diverse and could compliment anyone s taste. Eating at the bar is fun and social and table service is also great and more upscale. Some of my favorites are their duo of tuna, calamari salad, braised short ribs, and sweet potato fries. I hardly ever have room for dessert, but the coffee and tiramisu are awesome! This is my go to restaurant in NYC.

Had dinner here for the first time last night. I went with 3 others and we all were very impressed. We recieved a warm greeting from the hostess and loved the fashionable elegant decor. Everyone was accomodating and knowledgeable. The food was prepared wonderfully and we ate up everything on our plates. A perfect introduction to a restaurant that is our new favorite just wished I could have tried Duo earlier!

Good quality menu and ingredients. Service was on point and paid great attention to detail. The menu is very well thought out, presentation is innovative. The service is on par with that of one of the city s top restaurants and the environent and decor is modern, but also very intimate and comfortable. Definately a great venue for a sophisticated and enjoyable dinner. The bar looks great too and great for happy hour!

The food here is so delish!! Every dish was a real winner. Their truffle pizza is definitely a must try. The crowd is fun and staff is great. A perfect sat night spot for dinner and drinks! the hot chocolate cake dessert was just perfect! bill was reasonable and worth many more repeat visits.

This is by far my favorite place in the city to eat! The food and atmosphere are amazing and the service is phenomenal! Whenever I have visitors, I always take them to Duo. It is also the one place that my mother insists that we go everytime she visits the city. You have to try this place, you will want to go back!

The crispy calamari salad is the way to start your meal at duo. The prawn risotto is a greatbpick for an entree a plentiful in size and have excellent seasoned shrimp-that are big and tasty! The complimentary bread and butter are also wonderful. The room is large, dim, and bustling, with great service. We shared two appetizers, two mains, two desserts, a bottle of water, and two glasses of wine and the bill didn t cause to much of a dent in our wallets. I ve also been to happy hour which was fun, and great value too.  a great choice.

We have been to Duo several times and it is always a treat. WE are in the city a few times a year and it wouldn t feel like a trip to NYC w/o dining here. The Tasting Menu is always amazing (The braised short ribs entree is perfection on a plate) and , if you have room, the duo cheesecake dessert is also highly recommended. Leave a little room for coffee, which is full-bodied and robust, at the end. The cocktails are stong - and unique. If you are looking for a special place in the city, then Duo may be it. For us, it always are favorite spot. .
