Wave 2700 caused a big splash when it opened it's doors on Federal Highway in Boca Raton. Wave 2700 occupies a large space adjacent to the Best Western Hotel. Wave has been totally modernized in shades of the ocean with lots of dark wood giving it a warm, sophisticated feel. A breath-taking fish tank and clever 'wave wall' greets guests and welcomes them to Wave. Wave has a large dining room, full bar, cozy lounge seating in the bar area and a large, canopied outside dining room with a fountain and fireplace for the cooler evenings. John (Captain Snapper) and Sally Stilley have been serving Palm Beach residents for 30 years. John was the original general manager of the now defunct Seafood Connection, Boca Raton (it closed when John left to open Snappers). They also own the popular Snappers Seafood in Boynton Beach. Joining the management team is Jordan Stilley; General Manager; following is his parent's footsteps. Daughter, Jamin and son Justin divide their time between Snappers Seafood and Wave 2700. Both Wave 2700 and Snappers Seafood Restaurant are synonymous with the best and freshest seafood at reasonable prices. The restaurants attempt to use locally caught fish and 'sustainably farmed' produce. All food items are prepared with a gourmet touch and are always a hearty portion. All bread, soup, dressings and sauces are made in house, too.
Always fun, but on Friday May 18 there was a karaoke set up in the bar. I usually avoid this, but this was a group of 50 something, semi-professional singers. The music was geared for people 40 and over. The man Tony could have been on Broadway (so good), and a small woman named Lisa had so much energy she lit up the room. The food was exceptionally good on Friday, too!
