Food was very good, but the owner is very full of himself. Not impressed by that. I've been in the bar business a long time and the number 1 rule is to not badmouth other customers behind their back. It always gets back to people, especially in a small town bar like this one. I also noticed that he was complaining about another local bar owner which is another no-no. My advise for these new owners, if you want to stay in business for any amount of time, you better learn to get along with people. Or hire a bartender that is nice and have the owner keep his distance. I've already heard from a number of people that they will not go to your establisment any longer based on your actions.
The food was good. The woman serving the food looked to be working pretty hard. The man behind the bar, over weight loud mouth, seemed to be enjoying her food as well. I don t remember his name, but he was pretty loud and seemed to be putting the cook down as well as patrons after they left the bar.
I do NOT recommend this place. Can you say AWKWARD.
Kevin talks so smart. He better remember the people who helped him get his $50,000 from Kewaunee County (public records) so he could get his loan through Bank of Luxemburg. I used to come here a lot when it was the old owners. They were fun and out going. However since it changed hands I've tried it a few times and will not be back. I can't see how he can talk to his son the way he does in front of customers and also the way he talks about his wife behind her back. Kelly is a sweetheart but Kevin is a flat out @ss. He runs people down as soon as they walk out the door. He must not realize that we live in a small town and it gets back to people. He should appreciate what he has and shut his mouth already.
The new owners are awesum.Me and my wife love this bar. The new owners are a blast and 100 times nicer than the old ones plus KEVIN is a blast. Also he has a great name(nickname) HOINKY. Trry the super nacho enough for two people and its the real deal.
