Breakfast House, Sarasota

This is one of the most original breakfast places I have ever been to. The decor is ecclectic which is quite unique and pleasing to the eye.The tables, chairs and napkins are all color coordinated.It is charming and cozy; the entire staff is friendly, and pleasant. Service is prompt and impeccable. Reading glasses are available for patrons who forget theirs so they can read the menu. The place is very clean and there is outdoor seating. But what will bring you back is the food. The grits are to die for!! These are the most flavorful grits I have ever eaten. The hint of butter, pepper, garlic, and other spices make this usually bland dish enticing, not overwhelming to the taste buds.. You will want to have seconds!! The omelets are generously portioned with all sorts of goodies and come with grits and toast. The creme brulee french toast is also a must try. They were very tasty with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon. The maple syrup did not make it too sugary. The fruit compotes are made fresh, and are not just the usual strawberry or blueberry. The berry mixture is awesome on the crepes. The coffee was also very good, with continuous refills All in all it was a very very wonderful dining experience, one which shall definitely be repeated.
