Ate at Ethel Reds in Visalia.........The food was ice cold (pancakes and syrup) and was only served two eggs with the ham and eggs and the potatoes were cold. The ham was so good--sweet and tender but was so disappointed with the cold food and service... They need to tweet this!!!!!!!!!!
I m rating my breakfast food, I ordered sausage & eggs it was great, love the country potatoes, I also got a side of biscuits & gravy, gravy was great but the biscuits were over cooked, the waitress was nice in trying to fix it but wasn t able to unless a whole new batch would have been made.
After my dinner experience last night, 12/2/11, at Ethel Red's, I felt the need to write my first review of a restaurant. We started at the bar with a round of Anchor Steam beer. They were $5 each for a 12oz bottle. I will let you be the judge if this is an appropriate price for a bottle of beer in Lemoore, CA. Next we were seated at our table. First came the chili and biscuits. An interesting heavy item for an appetizer dish. Next came the salad, it was white iceberg lettuce with some tomatoes and onions. Next we received our entree's. I ordered the large filet mignon, medium rare, with a baked potato. The entree was $33.99, but I have heard it is a generous portion. I received a small piece of meat that was cooked well-done. The baked potato was small. When I had my first bite I was shocked at the amount of salt in the steak. The salt was over-whelming and the filet was over-cooked in what should be a juicy, tenderly cooked cut of steak. For desert, I ordered the red velvet cake. I had one taste and put the fork down. The cake was grainy, too sweet, and overly imbedded with red food-coloring. I am truly disappointed in what I hoped would be a welcomed addition to a much needed fine dining experience in the Lemoore area. I believe this establishment will go the way of Jasper's after my experience.
Started out good the service was good and the bean and cheesy biscuit were great. Then it went down hill, the salad had big hunks of red onion and the tomato was not fresh. My wife ordered the halibut which lacked seasoning and was a bit over cooked. I had the ribs, the sauce was ok but the ribs were dry. The seasonal veggies tasted as if they had been sitting to long. Very disappointed!
