Today around noon we entered IHOP to eat lunch. Only had about 5 tables of eating customers. Waitresses everywhere doing little of nothing and not getting our order. Looked like they were trying to avoid doing any work. One waitress, an older person was busing tables and just looking at us every now and then but not taking any other action. We left after about 15 minutes of waiting. This is how restaurants in Beaufort go out of business. I hope the owner reads these reviews!
Dinner, Tuesday evening. We ordered our meals and coffee the coffee arrived promptly, was poured from a container that they leave at the table. It was cold. Did we just receive coffee that had been sitting at an old table? I had to go back kitchen area to find someone to replace it.
Food arrives, fish served room temperature warm, no hollandaise, broccoli stone cold, and potatoes hot. I ate the potatoes. Hollandaise finally arrived, tasted like flour and water. We left, cold day in hell when we go back, I hate paying for a dinner and being able to eat only potatoes.
Here's an update on our recent visit to the Beaufort Ihop. About 30 hours after visiting this establishment my wife developed food poisoning. There is no doubt where it came from, thank God I didn't eat my fish (didn't taste right). Thanks to this misadventure and the negligence of the Ihop staff she has missed several days of work costing us several hundreds of dollars and has suffered incredibly. It’s Sunday now, she has been unable to keep anything down except for fluids for the last four days. I am very worried.
I have known others who have eaten there and been fine, but my advice to anyone would be not to take the chance. You don’t want to go through what my wife is going through ever.
We will certainly never eat there again!
