Bennett's Fish Shack, Westport

The freshest, most delicious fish n chips that we have ever had the pleasure of devouring (several times in the last year since we discovered Bennett's Shack, and the drive is worth it!). The halibut version at a glance seems pricey, but the two fillets are huge (25% larger than a dollar bill); the portions are generous enough that I've never had room left to eat all the fries. The clam strips are also quite tasty - - still tender, and the finely ground breaded coating isn't at all greasy (I've never had clam strips I really enjoyed before these). The establishment is kept clean, staff are friendly & efficient, and I appreciate that repurposed materials & refurbished appliances were integrated into the new construction of the restaurant (another thumbs-up for being eco-minded). P.S. Stop at the Westport Winery to/from to maximize a fun, low-key field trip!
