Based on the fact that the manager went out of his way to ruin another human beings career, this is a joint worth overlooking. Go to McDonald's; at least they won't snap your picture.
It is one thing to ask a recognized critic to leave your restaurant (how hard is it to refuse future service to her), and another thing to vehemently act in a vindictive nature. There is a right way and wrong way to solve a problem. Red Medicine has chosen the wrong way. They have started a downward spiral of bad publicity. Hey, Noah Ellis, did you even take into consideration that Irene Virbila can ask a friend, coworker, or even a stranger off the street to eat at your restaurant, and write the review from second hand news? But that is uneccessary since the review is going public regardless.
I truely hope that the powers that be give you a couple bad years. Let's see how well your business does with it's reputation on the line. Hope you get a taste of your own Red Medicine.
We were in LA and the Friends we were visiting wanted to take us to a trendy cool LA resturant. We had a reservation for 7:45 and were not seated until almost 8:30. I was really ok with the delay as we had requested a later table but they said they were booked for 8:30 when we had called earlier. It gave us an opportunity to people watch. A fun past time in LA! The food was presented nicely and looked really good. The resturant was clean and the staff was friendly. It is just to bad the food did not taste as good as it looked. I truely was unimpressed. I was not overwelmed. I thought that it was overpriced for the quality. We will NOT be visiting Red Medicine again.
Do not waste your time or money here. The food was not up to my standards or any of my dining companions either. We were a party of 8 and not one person was happy or even mildly impressed with their entrees. Dessert was better than the entrees, but not as good as some of the chain restaurants we have tried. The serving staff was nice though.
