Okay, I worked at this place for several months between July to November of 2012. I gotta tell you, it was a terrible experience. The management had a very unique style of managing the store, and that letting the lunatics run the asylum! The owners, Rhonda and Siad are never at the store, they never appointed any managers at all, they expected the cashiers to run the store, but none of the employees would listen b/c they knew we, as cashiers, were not authority figures of any kind. There is NEVER a manager on the floor, only cashiers (like me), cooks, and drivers. The drivers were always argumentative and unwilling to go to certain deliveries but others (Jonathan is a great driver, for example) would. One particular driver that was a problem is named Ernest. Ernest actually cussed me out one night b/c he was the last driver to go home and nothing was done to correct his behavior. Not even a warning, nothing! Another night, Ernest flipped off a customer at the Super 8 motel on Palisades DR @ loop 1604. Why did he do this? It was b/c when the customer asked the driver Ernest for change for a $20 bill, he said no, they didn t give him at tip. So when the customer went inside to eat their food, he got back into his car, slammed his hand down onto the horn, holding it down until the customers stepped outside, he then gave the customer the finger, and drove off. I told the managers multiple times about this, and nothing was done. The customer called back to complain, and when we asked Ernest if he did this, he didn t even try to hide it!! The owners still did nothing!!! He still works their now, Ernest should have been fire 10 fold by now!! Also, other drivers you might want to ask NOT TO COME TO YOUR HOUSE are Bobby and Seth, both of them have chronic attitude problems, and they will deliberately try to not bring change to their deliveries, so that they can keep the change, and they could get a tip from a customer. This place is constantly dirty, and a lot of the employees are holding out on cleaning, b/c they feel other people are supposed to do it for them. Other people to out for a cashier named Amy, she is a thief. Amy was constantly stealing money out of the door. I reported that as well to the managers, but they didn t do anything accept deduct missing money from her paycheck. I had customers calling on a regular basis calling about overcharges on their Credit Cards. Other customers had been charged for delivery food, but never received it. I would have calls about this so frequently, that I knew the names and numbers of people that were calling, so I already knew what they were calling about before they even picked up the phone. I told the managers Rhonda and Siad, but they would never return calls to these customers, in the hopes that the customers would eventually give up, and not ask for their money back. So before you call the store about these kind of problems, don t bother calling the store. Rhonda s cell is (two one zero) four seven three - eight two four three. Call her, get your money back!! She is making money off of overcharging her customers, and also underpaying her employees. If you were one of these people that got one of these charges, call her, if she still won t help, then file a police report. I finally had to quit, b/c I wasn t able to deal w/ the conditions there anymore. I told the owner Rhonda on Saturday, November 4th, I was quitting. I had a shift the following day, and I explained to her she will have to find someone else to cover it. When I told her this, she agreed to do so. However, the next morning at about 11am, I got some very nasty text messages from another employee, they were very upset b.c. they were not told I wasn t going to be there, and someone else was going to have to fill in for me. Rhonda waited til the last minute, and I even informed other employees I was resigning. What a dump, don t eat here, don t work here, just keep moving. There s better places to eat just down the street.
The service is lousy! They took two hours to deliver my food and I live not even 10 minutes away. I called 8 times to find out what was going on and nobody answered once. When the food was finally delivered, it was cold and rubbery and didn't taste good at all. I never received an apology or explanation for why the food was late. That was the first and last time I will ever try that place.
BEWARE! we have had incidents with the wok on wheels by our apartments not one but two times! the first time something happened, not only did it take them 2 hours to deliver our food which btw we live not even 5 minutes away from the place but my food was eaten out of. It was almost gone. When we called the manager said he would confront them and call us back. we NEVER recieved a call. The second time the same guy that ate our food deliveved it again. He took forever like they always do so i didnt give him a tip. As we were closing the door he called us a cheap ass under his breath. I will NEVER eat at this place again! china garden is WAY BETTER!!!!
terrible customer service, lousy menu, takes WAY to long for delivery and the food is nothing more than mediocre at best. Going back to Panda Express & China Garden. Never spending my money here again.
