I went there for the first time on August 11, 2012. It was great. My husband and I had been wanting to go for quite some time but hadn t gotten around to it. It was great! I had the burnt ends and they were good. The kids has awesome, fresh, REAL chicken breast nuggets (most places don t do that). It was rainy that day so we weren t able to try out the mini golf course.
The service was wonderful. I forget our server s name but she was very attentive. We met the pit master, too. Our daughter was a bit shy with him, but he gave her a smile and she smiled back.
We will definitely go back, and this time hopefully get to do mini golf!
Worst experience ever.
Went there one evening at7 - according to their website they were open. Wrong!
Ate there today.
Out of burnt ends. Out of two other meats.
Food came out after 48 minutes. Bread was stale.
Service was terrible. Felt like we were bothering each time we asked her for something (and shouldn t have to ask for sauce or napkins).
I d rather go to McDonalds.
Never, never again!
Loved it! My 16 year old loved it!
The food was excellent, true to real southern BBQ served on white bread with sauce on the side. Why sauce on the side? because of the real slow smoked for 12 hours process the way it's supposed to be done. Thats where the real flavor comes from! New atomoshere, tastefully redecorated and featuring music videos all day and night...Blues and BBQ seems like a natural and it kept my son from staring at his phone, we talked , we ate life was good. A totally unique dining experience for this area. Ps they are offering free minigolf for the rest of the season with every meal purchase.
I thought the food was very good. I really liked the smoked wings. However, the service was horrible, I felt like we were bothering the waitress, who kept going back to sit with a group of her very loud friends.
Our Food: Pig Trip BBQ Review, the definitive professional BBQ review reviewed us as BEST IN Connecticut, possibly TOP FIVE in the North East. We hope you enjoy it as much.
Dogs: K well passion for dogs runs deep and thats no secret. We are a food service establishment and unfortuniatly dogs are not allowed.
Groupons: We ran the promotion in the hopes of bring in new business, not pandering to discount coupon shoppers. We have nothing to discount as we serve some of the best BBQ at very reasonable prices. Like most place we dont combine coupons, 1 per visit and we dont think that is unreasonable. The promotion was intended for folks to come and experience our restaurant, NOT to get $10 bucks off and take the food home. The fine print is ambigous and that was a Groupon issue. Never the less people try to use 3, when they were only supposed to buy 2 maximum and order 1 as a gift certificate. It has not been a great experience and having our staff work hard to serve groupon customers only to be tipped the discounted amount is a heartbreak. 1 per visit, not for take out and cant wait till its finished.
We have just remodeled the interior and hope you find it a pleasent experience. We're here smokin Q the old fashioned way, workin hard, doing the best we can. Our customers know we love them.
Y'all come back now
Only working dogs (guide dogs etc) NO OTHERS! It's the law. I never heard of anyone having the gaul to try to bring a dog in a restaurant, even a patio restaurant! I'm an avid animal lover.
The owner should keep on enforcing the no pet policy (law).
Now that I've read this, I'm anxious to eat there!
Food is good and as a customer i agree with the restaurant policy that says no dogs allowed and sorry dog lovers i would not want someone elses dog jumping on me while i am eating an i don't hate dogs. The customer is always right.
