Circle Bowl offers quality, family orientated bowling services to the Greater Baton Rouge Area. There is a concession stand, arcade center and plenty of bowling lanes. The facility boasts a safe environment for youngsters to play and staff hosts for group functions.
I rented 6 lanes for a Friday early evening get-together and was happy with the service and the party choices. The staff was extremely helpful and the facilities are in excellent condition. I recommend CIRCLE BOWL to anyone who wants to have fun bowling on lanes that are better than average.
Galactic bowling (10:30pm to 1:30pm) was definitely worth going to; I got more than my 12 bucks worth of bowling (includes shoe rental, and I played maybe 5+ games over the 2 hour period, so less than 2 bucks a game). The atmosphere before galactic bowling was not as interesting but seemed much more family-oriented: softer music, bright lights. Galactic bowling, because of its time frame, is more teenager- and young adult-oriented: black lighted and playing more songs from the hip-hop spectrum with a few other genres tossed in. With so many teenagers there, there was also a barrier of smokers outside I had to weasel around to get to into the place, but once you're inside they're no problem. Overall, it's a great value with different atmospheres you can pick to suit your liking.
Thanks to all of the employees at Circle for the great support and help. The tourn. directors are always friendly , even if I am a lefty(HA). Seriously though, the entire staff is always very kind from the management all the way down to the lane man, snack bar employees and lounge enployee who seems to always be there when we bowl. Lane conditions were GREAT on both sides. Thanks again for the wonderful weekend.Maybe I won't miss the top 3rd cut by 2 pins next time. Jerry Miles West Monroe, Louisiana.
Best price in town for the time spent bowling. We did the "galactic bowling" at night. They turn off the white lights and turn on black lights & club lights. The dj was real good and played all types of music mostly newer stuff. There were even people dancing at times. No smoking inside so not sure why other reviews said that was a problem also no big video screens playing videos that must be another bowling alley. We had a great time and will go back again.
Our family goes galactic bowling every 6-8 weeks. Our kids (ages 8, 10, 11) think we are the coolest parents because we get out there and act silly and stay out "really late." It's really a place where the whole family can have a good time. We love the glow in the dark bowling pin cups...our kids get icees in them every time. Also like that a police officer is walking around continuously monitoring what comes in and goes out. Having another birthday party there again this summer...quite affordable! We tried galactic bowling elsewhere locally, and the atmosphere was not as appropriate for children.
The "galatic" bowling experiance was
definatley out of this world, unfortunatley it's not a world where I, my family and friends would go back to.
First off,we scheduled a birthday party for our son. Please be aware, that if you reserve a lane in your package,be SURE not to pay till the time of your reservations!! I did this at 8:15 on a Sat. night, my lane time was from (9-11).
All the kids where due at 9:00, I was told that my time started when I booked the lane, a full 45 minutes before schedule.
The staff was so overwhelmed, God Bless Them, it was so loud , even at the customer service desk, even face to face we had to shout, just to be heard.
The video's they were playing on the screen above the alley's were at times, extremly promiscuous, gun toting Gangstas, and degrading women.
I really regret spending the 80 dollors for 2 hours of bowling and fighting to get the pizza and soda that was supposed to be included. Oh yeah, you might have to take a course in how to input names and games on there lanes so you can play. On of the staff demonstated how to properly, BANG the side to get it to work!
My friends and I don't normally bowl but we went up there for the galactic bowling on a saturday night. The line to sign up for lanes was kinda long but the price was good for 2 plus hours. The dj was great and the lights and fog were cool. The bartender lady was funny and the sound was much better than expected. When we left it felt like we had been at a club but without the drama. It was very fun, We will go back. I would recommend.
