Tidal Transit Ocean Kayak & Bike Company, Boothbay Harbor

Travis and everyone at Tidal Transit are very helpful, making our kayak trips effortless every time we rent kayaks here. They recently added several new tandems and singles, so the equipment is in great shape and a pleasure to paddle in. The location is right in Booth Bay Harbor, its a great place to paddle from. Plenty of places to explore in and around greater Booth Bay.

The guides at Tidal Transit are really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The scenery around Boothbay Harbor is spectacular, and seeing it from a kayak gives a different perspective. This summer we did a kayak camping trip with one of the guides and had a great time. They took care of all equipment, food, kayaks etc. We saw our first bald eagle on this trip and overall had a fantastic time, we will definitely do this again next year. My wife and I spent the weekend kayaking around Boothbay harbor and we found the staff at Tidal Transit to be very friendly and helpful. They put the boat on our car for us and provided maps and directions to the best islands around. We had a great time and would definitely rent from them again.

This year, we just came back from a kayak overnight camping trip with the Tidal Transit folks and had a great time. They took care of all arrangements, equipment, food etc..we just had to show up and start paddling. We stayed on a small island in the sheepscott river and enjoyed it immensely. Our guide was very knowledgable and worked very hard to make sure we had a super time on this trip. Doing an overnight trip gave us an opportunity to see many new areas and enjoy beatiful sunsets and sunrise with quiet times paddling in the morning We would definitely recommend this experience with the Tidal Transit group to others

Tidal Transit is a favorite stop of ours when we visit Boothbay. With experienced guides who know the area well, they provide the first time kayaker with security as well as information about the area's history and wildlife. My husband and I have gone out on tours the last two years with one excellent guide after another from Tidal Transit. The equipment is first rate and you are provided with everything you need for an enjoyable tour in all kinds of weather. I highly recommend the Boothbay area for kayaking and Tidal Transit as the best way to go!

We started taking kayak tours at tidal transit 3 years ago and have gone back every year. Turns out sea kayaking is easy to pick up the basics, no previous experience needed. The guides at Tidal Transit are really friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to this summers visit and kayak tour

It was an amazing trip with knowlegable and helpful guides. We saw many osprey upclose and personal! Seals, and even an eagle for a brief moment. The guide [Travis] answered all of our questions and was likable and easygoing. What a tremendous paddle!

Kayak tour of boothbay harbor, went to a few small islands for some short hikes. very worth the money, kids loved it. great instructions from great guides. kayaking is not hard!!!
