I heard about Spa 28 through a Bed and Breakfast that I was vacationing at for three weeks and decided I would give it a try. I called and made an appointment for a massage an when I showed up to the Spa for my massage I was able to wait in a beautifully decorated waiting room with a hot cup of tea, comfortable chair, and enjoy some fresh delicious fruit. After five minutes of relaxing in the waiting room, I felt like I already had a massage.
The massage was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. I felt completely comfortable and at home. I made two additional massage appointments on my vacation. Thank you Spa 28.
A must every time I visit the Cape.
I enjoyed a most peaceful experience. Light snacks and an array of herbal teas were available, all complimentary. The lighting decor, and furnishings were most comforting. The massage therapist was very good and attended to my needs with professionalism. I felt right at home and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Next time I'm going to request a fire in the fireplace.
Its tough to tell if this place is good or bad - since it is unclear if the place really is open for business. I bought a gift certificate to this place for my wife for Mother's Day. Additionally, a number of my brother in laws did the same for their wives since our family was going to be down the Cape for the week.
Our wives made numerous attempts to try and book an appt. but no one answered the phone nor returned the messages. My mother-in-law actually went down to the place and finally was able to talk to somebody but essentially got nowhere until she told them she was going to contact the BBB about them.
In the end, we got a our money refunded - but it wasted a decent amount of our vacation week. What was funny, is that an eye doctor seems to own the place, we had to go to his place of business to get the refund. More funny is that some of the people who seem to "work" at the spa were actually working at the eye business and there's actually a massage chair there! Maybe we should have tried to book a massage at the eye place! In the end, I'd recommend to NEVER buy a gift certificate from these people and if you are going to book an appt do it way way in advance - don't believe the web site which says walk ins are welcome.
