Two years ago we did the sunset ride, beginners level. There were four of us, 2 adults with riding experience and a 9 and 10 year old with only a couple of hours experience. The horses were calm and the sunset was beautiful. We had such a great experience that we decided to go back again this year. This time we did the intermediate level because we wanted to do some trotting. The girls, now 11 and 12 loved it! Again, the horses were awesome. We rode Buddy, Dan and Henry. These horse were calm, yet when we wanted to trot, they were eager to go! We will definately go back!
While we were in Loon Mountain NH we had decided early on that we would like to go horseback riding. None of us had ridden before, so the 3 of us in our 40's and 2 children 8 and 10 didn't quite know what to expect. What a tremendously unexpected, wonderfully, fulfilling experience it was!
We paid approximately $36.00/per person for a one hour trail ride. It was beautiful... through the woods and along the pemiguwassette(sp?) river. The 2 women who were our guides, one being the owner Danielle, were fabulous. They were professional, giving safety and technique instructions prior to the ride, and just a joy to be with during the ride. They were wonderful with our children and brought great relaxation and humor to our trip. The horses were incredibly good natured and beautiful. We could not have asked for a better experience. We will definetely go back!
