played there recently. i paid $33 for the round and the place is in terrible condition, with the exception of the greens which were decent. the tee boxes are a disaster, and the fairways are non-existent except for the weeds. this is not a place for a serious golfer.
It is a nicely designed course however. good for working on your game or if you are a hacker, but thats it.
Visit the Shore each year and swore off this course several years ago. Relucantly agreed to try it when unable to get tee times at other courses. YIKES!! the place is now on my "must play" list. Good shape. In fact, better then a couple of higher priced County courses. Rates are reasonable and the staff is simply terrific. Pro shop is well run, tee times are ON TIME, pace is play is good for a Saturday ( 4hrs, 20 miin.). On course rangers are professional, very polite and most helpful. They take the extra step to be sure the golfers are informed and maintain a comfortable pace. Driving range was not available due to renovations and appears to need some work, but this is a temporary issue that appears to be getting resolved. Couple of tee areas need some work together with a couple of cart areas near greens. But, the new management has addressed the more important items of fairway and green conditions and are obviously addressing the secondary items. With time, this facility will become quite a desirable destination. Hopefully they will add features like on-line tee times once their web page is finished.
I have been playing Spring Meadow for 16yrs. now, the new management is doing one hell of a job. Every green is in great shape, the fairways are starting to look like real fairways. However some of the tee boxes still need work all in all it`s worth the trip and don`t forget to bring your A game.
in the first week of the new management you can see the improvements. starting from the moment you walk into the pro shop all the way through the course. looking forward to seeing what they will do in the future
Course has some challenging holes overall a nice place to work on the game and have some fun. Greens are in good shape for the heat we have been having, the fairways could use some work, crab grass is coming through and some of the tee boxes could use an overhall. Staff is friendly and pace is average. I will play there again.
