Vermont Pub and Brewery
Their 14-barrel whole-grain cellar brewery reflects the accumulated tradition of centuries of craft brewing and enables them to exercise and enjoy something unusual in brewing: creativity. Tour the brewery, enjoy the pub food, and see the difference for yourself.
My boy friend and i went here, got really good food and service ! also the beer here is really good because they make it all them selfs ! i got the beer sampler with a couple of different kinds on it it was very tasty ! will be back but in the summer so we can sit out side !
The food was cold and we never had a steak without flavor--nothing, inedible and tough. A huge mound of mashed potatoes doesn't make up for bad food. Supposedly garlic mashed also with no flavor and cold. Had been wanting to try this place for 3 or 4 trips into Burlington--definately wish we went somewhere else. Never again!! Even the beer was bitter.
I hated it. Ordered a turkey reuben and had a long black hair mixed with the saurkraut and russian IN my sandwich. GROSS. We're headed back to Burlington and my husband really wants to go back.....I don't know if I can bring myself to eat anything else there.
The restaurant is fun and has a great atmosphere. The service is not great (we had to wait quite a while for our drinks!), but it is definitely worth going to.
The gravy and cheese fries are excellent, the pulled pork is good, and the sirlion isn't worth the price.
I live in Salt lake City, Ut. To buy a beer in an establishment a memership is needed which costs a few bucks plus price of beer. Memberships are not required in a restaurant setting. So, while in Vermont and visiting the Vermont Pub and Brewery I thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of buying a "real beer" (above 3.2) without having to buy a gosh durn membership!
The food was good and the atmosphere was great!
The beer at the brewery is very good and the atmosphere, especially on a warm summer day is fantastic (outdoor seating on a patio). The food is subpar however and for the prices, there is much better fare within walking distance. My fish and chips were way overcooked (the fish was almost blackened) and even the waitress was horrid and apologized when she brought it to me.
My opinion: Go for the beer, find supper elsewhere.
Nice place for a relaxing, outside lunch. Good food, great beer, and fun atmosphere. Last I was there, they would have outside musicians on the weekends where you could hang out with friends in a low-key setting.
