Leave from Phil have no problems We get to Venice, from Venice an hour to later to Rome and then to Naples. But surprise surprise we made it but our luggade did not. Ilatlia seem to have "misplaced" it. It was to follow us the next day and be delivered but after waitting for 3 days we went to the airport and pick it up. They seemed unable to find our 2 pieces of luddage almost the other 15. So we made it to Naples got the car and drove to the hotel. Was nice hotel but very out of the way. Naples is very, very trashy. They do not have any way of getting rid of their trash so they just throw it ...

I am one week away from leaving for Madrid. I still do not have my passport, although I sent it for renewal in February. I have contacted my house representative's office, and they have a staff member working on it. She is very helpful, and I would suggest this route for anyone in this situation. I'm pumped about the trip though - hope I get the passport in time!!! This was my first time going abroad alone (for a short time). My suggestions for anyone else planning to explore on their own: 1. We flew from Boston to Munich and then onto Rome. We got into Rome in the early afternoon and at 4:30 we met Lino and signed up for some optional excursions. Then at around 6:00 that night we went on our "Rome By Night" dinner. We went to a nice restaurant and had a 4 or 5 course meal. We even had some entertainment, some opera singers. We then went to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. There were so many people at the Trevi Fountain. I was lucky enough to get close to it to throw in a coin.
