Rusticana, Munich

Rusticana was recommended to me because of their reputation of having great ribs, something I consider myself a connoisseur of. Even though I have had better ribs in the U.S., they were still pretty darn good. They bring a rack of moist ribs out to you on a cedar plank; its quite a presentation. But the best part of the whole meal was the baked potato. It is a huge potato sitting in a cereal-size bowl and loaded with fresh made sour cream. Fantastic!! I've heard the steaks were good, too. The waitress was so friendly she brought a second round of Tequlia shots after the complimentary round that came with our order. The only thing I suggest is to make reservations days in advance because we made ours the day we went and they were reluctant to give us one and were in a hurry to clear us out, which is not customary in most German restaurants. I will definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone visiting Munich.

Overall the food is very good, but most people go there for the ribs - they are outstanding! Most people call ahead and make reservations, it's about the only way you can guarantee yourself a seat.
