Joe's Italian Grill Restaurant, Livingston

When I ate at Joe s there was no incentive on the part of the person in charge to get my return business. I asked for a substitution, wouldn t do it, even though price was the same. Did not have a liquor license, so to get a free glass of wine, a $10 entree order was required. Spaghetti with an order of meatballs, which was over $10, did not qualify because it was two items. Food was average, customer service poor.

Excellent italian food here. We ve been thoroughly impressed by everything we ve had at Joe s so far, from the pizza, to the lasagna, baked ziti, etc. The calzones are incredible. We ve also been very impressed by the service - the wait staff is very friendly and attentive, and the Joe of whom the restaurant is named was there the times we ve been there, asking about the meal and was very welcoming. No complaints. This place is well worth a visit.

Last time I visited I had the eggplant parm and it was incredible! This time I ordered a medium pizza with onions and while I ate it, I will make sure never to order pizza from there again! The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly but the crust had an off taste that I couldn't place and just overall it was bland. No garlic or orgeno or anything to make the cheese or sauce really stand out. I would have rathered spend $5.00 at Little Ceasars rather than $16.00 at Joes. (Sorry Joes, I do love you!) I will return to give the calazone a try and hopefully that will be better.

GREAT ITALIAN FOOD!! Prices are reasonable, plenty of tables, nice atmosphere and just an all round GREAT Italian food place to eat.
