Cabbage Beach

Description

Located on the northern side of Paradise Island, this stretch of white powdery sand is held to be the most aesthetically pleasing of its kind on the island. Guests from the adjacent hotels and resorts come to enjoy waterskiing, parasailing, and other water sports. Though the beach is lined with numerous hotels, the eastern end remains uninhabited for the most part. The famous statues at Versailles Garden are just a few blocks south.

I LOVE CABBAGE BEACH
By ,
We absolutely LOVED this beach!! It had the cleanest sand and the cleanest swim area. We rented a jet ski and did the banan boat rides. The bar was great too. We visited three islands that week and I wish we would have stayed in Nassau the whole time. I would definately return to cabbage beach many many times.

Vacation at Cabbage Beach
By ,
Well this was one of the best vacation I had in a long time. I met a man name elvis who took me on ski ride and wow what a ride. This man was so nice i didn't think real men assist anymore. Yes I would love to go back and relax again, well back at the cop work, Cabbage Beach i'll be back, and if you know Mr. Elvis who ride's the ski tell him I said call me. If you are going to on a cruise, get Elvis to take you for a ride. I also explore the city and was wonderful, my group was please, the only thing I did not like was the sand sink your feet, and the bathroom was far from the Beach, come on now there should be a bathroom somewhere on the beach. the water was find. Here's to Cabbage Beach, i'll be there again in September for a class in law.

I almost drown here
By ,
I took a cruise and did a private guide. At the end he dropped my family at this beach. Beach felt scary but we decided to go near. Water was till my toes. One wave hit my daughter and started dragging her. My wife caught her hand but I was not aware and went two more steps. Strong wave caught me under the sea. My son was saved by another swimmer. Luckily, a water scooter rider and another local dragged me to the shore. I was admitted to ICU. We missed our cruise and got $8000 bill from hospital. More than that my wife is in a shock condition and she decided never to go to near any beach. My whole family was at risk. I met at least 5 people at the hospital who were near drowning situation at this beach and don’t know how many dies here every year. This is not a natural beach. Whole area is dug up due to Atlantis constructions. One step is one feet deep. PLEASE DON'T GO TO THIS BEACH. Give another $20 to your guide and go to cable beach or pay some fees for Atlantis beach.

Go If you want to die.
By ,
Cabbage Beach is the most unsafe beach i have ever been on. When you walk onto the beach you get approached by the worst sort of people trying to sell you drugs and they don't leave you alone ever. The people who run the attractions on the island (jet skies, banana boats, etc) are horrible at their jobs. They give you no instructions and just tell you the clock is running once you give them your money. I experienced the worst time of my life their and lost a good friend (R.I.P. James). I only wish I researched more about this place before we went there. This apparently is not just my belief but there are to many stories to count originating from this beach.

Cabbage Beach
By ,
We wanted to do an affordable shore excursion. The cruise line (which we love), said public beaches were not safe. HA! I wouldn't stay after dark though... I asked all morning at local shops in Nassau. 8 of 10 locals said Cabbage beach was safe, clean, & wonderful! They were right! We had a joyous 4+ hours on the beach for a fraction of the cost the shore excursions would have been which are promoted by the cruise lines...

I went to cabbage beach about 3 times , was in the bahamas for 2 weeks and cabbage beach was my favorite ! im only 18 and went with a bunch of friends (girls) , and felt very very at home . the locals were NICER THAN EVER ! seen a wedding on the beach which was beautiful also . you cna get drinks for cheap , the umbrellas and the lounge chairs , and also the GREATEST massages ! we all got massages for a 1/2 an hour , for only 25$ and to tell you i left and felt like a new person . there were 5 bed , which were on the beach until a little hut on cloth facing the water , so relaxing . it was beautiful ! but i will say that the waater one day was very rough , i dont reccomend it for little kids or someone that cant swim good . i even got dragged out a little and im a lifegaurd . but yes this beach was one of the best !

Great Beach
By ,
This is a great public beach. It was only 4 dollars by taxi from the Cruise Terminals compared to almost 15 to go to Cable Beach. You can rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach from the locals. Asking price was 10 for chairs and 20 for umbrella. They will bargain if you like. The locals also sell drinks in a coconut it was 10 dollars for one drink and 2 refills or 20 dollars to drink all day. Liquor was a little watered down. There is a beach bar where you can buy real drinks if you want that cost normal prices. They also have several water sports items available on the beach like a jet ski, parasailing, banana boats, and even snorkeling. Rufus was the man for water sports. He was super nice. It is a beautiful white sand beach. The water was crystal clear. You can choose to hang out with the crowd for the socialites or walk down a little bit and sit all by your self. There is a snorkel area off the beach but I think it is a long walk down the beach.
