Best possible course, staffing problems.
By Clif, 10/11/06
This is by far and away the BEST golf course I have ever played on, for challenge and physical conditions it is top notch. Staffing, leaves a lot to be desired. Last year I felt the dayshift starter bordered on rude. This year, he showed he's really rude and disrespectful to clients. When I brought this up to their management, inital contacts with the swing shift manager were excellent. I apologized to Ken for his having to hear an earful for something he didn't cause. The next day, when I went up to speak to the course owner, I was further verbally assaulted by the course "pro". He informed me, that the staff response was actually quite generous, my wife and myself should have been removed from the course, due to our "slow" play. That's obviously what this course is looking for, removing it's customers. They certainly achieved that for me. I should note one interesting fact about our "slow" play. My wife and I were the ONLY paying customers on the back nine at the time our play so displeased a starter that he felt he needed to discourteously redress a customer. There were NO OTHERS on the whole series of 9 holes except that same starter and pro. My recommendation, play anywhere else. Even the best course isn't worth this type of abuse.
