Is this a Party or What?
I frequent the Bahamas and go on the Booze and Cruise each time (My first time in Nassau, my girlfriend and I went 2 times during our 3 day trip). Even if you don't like to drink, watching all of the drunk people is a lot of fun. The snorkeling, at a national reserve, is nice and the staff really do have your safety in mind. I watched the captain jump off the top deck because someone yelled help (of course that person couldn't swim and they tell you not to go in if you can't swim).
The food is tasty, yes sometimes cold, but still tasty. The drinks are strong and the ladies at the all inclusive bar are great. The upper deck has a reasonably priced beer bar.
The music is great. DJ Slick Rick is awesome and really knows how to play for a crowd, playing music for everybody. DJ Leo is somewhat obnoxious because he loves the mic, but he's cool.
One the island, be sure to get a pina colada in a coconut from CoCo and some conch salad from Fred. They are not part of the cruise staff, but typically show up when the boat is parked on the beach - yes the boat pulls right up on the beach. Same thing for the jet skis, not part of the boat, but if you negotiate with them you can get a good price.
Contrary to the other reviews, you don't spend half the time picking up other guests. The cruise from Cable Beach to downtown is nice and relaxing and the captain narrates the tour from downtown to the last stop (Paradise Island Harbour Resort - see Ricardo, one of the activities staff at the hotel to buy B&C tickets). That takes one hour, but don't forget the stops are one the way to the snorkeling site.
