Heading back now

My wife and I first stayed at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort last Chistmas (2009) for a 4 day get away and liked it so much we went back in February of 2010. Terrific service , clean spacious rooms, great pool area and superb beach. The downside is the beach vendors but there are a lot less than at Atlantis which is 3 or 4 times the price. Just remember that the beaches are public property in the Bahamas but if you are on the resort beach (about 30 feet from the water) they will leave you alone.
The poolside bar has a great staff. Tipping is included with drinks however I usually tip with the first drink and get great service the rest of the day. A tip when you say goodbye for the day reminds them that you are a prefered customer!! The drinks are free pour so a tip does go a long way.
There is a great walking path across the road in the center of the divided street for walking off the great food.
The pools are very clean and plenty of towels nearby at the beach hut.
There is a casino nearby if you like the slots or cards and a Starbucks is in the casino for a good cup of coffee.
The #1 bus runs downtown every 20 minutes or so. $1.25 gets a bus ride downtown to Bay Street for plenty of good shopping.
Don't forget to try the Fish Fry. Just ask the bus driver to let you off at the Fish Fry.
Two Brothers has the most amazing fresh seafood means. Try the fried plantains with dinner.
We love the Bahamas and have been there 7 times in the last 5 years and we're packing our bags to go again this week.
Enjoy
