Fish Frys, New Providence

when we got to the island, everyone recomemded to go to the fish fry to twin brothers restaurant. it was a 30 min walk from the port. when we got there, the service was horrible. we ordered and had to wait for about 20 min for the food. the food was not even all that and the portions were small. when we got the final bill, the prices were different from the prices in the menu. in other words, they charged as more. i was discusted and angry when i left the place, becuase i was not used to such servise in usa. do not go there. horrible

Boy did they see us coming! They almost grab you and push you into their restaurant. I honestly think this was the worst food we had in the Bahamas! Oh, yes, we did see the rats running between the different restaurants. Gross. We ordered 2 dinners and some extras. The fish was breaded, fried, too soft and tastless. The rice and beans were cold. The shrimp was ok. The corn was tough, dried out, and must have been soaked in sugar water, just awful. We had ordered an extra side of corn, when we told them we weren't happy with it, they brought another plate with 2 more pieces that were just as bad. We just left it all on the table. Dinners started around $20 and up. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!

We ordered and left over an hour later still hungry since our food never arrived. Also very concerned that the locals there are looking for easy prey so I would advise not going if you are not a local.

We ordered Lobster, but it was covered by some sort of rice. Conch fritters were tasteless. Restrooms were 1 block away and we were hassled to pay upon leaving by locals. It seems as though the cabbies are compensated for taking unsuspecting tourists there because when you as their opinion, they always recommend this place. Rats along the canal & under the deck. In 2 words...the worst!!
