Herreño (El), Las Palmas

This tapas bar is located in the Vegueta district, a fantastic place. It's a large building, covering two floors and decorated in country style with wooden furniture. For generations, it was a meeting place for those who loved Canary Island food, and is now very popular for tapas. The main dish is roast pig's trotter, although you must also try snails, cheese, and ropa vieja (meat with vegetables, tomatoes and green peppers). The service is very good, and the staff are very keen to offer advice.
