For the price, the rooms leave a lot to be desired. DO NOT get the wedding "package" if you plan on getting married at Niagara Falls!!!! Their Concierge was rude, the photographer was unprofessional and the photography studio was a nightmare to deal with (to make a long story short). Spend your money somewhere else and please don't ruin your special day by getting married here.
My husband and I booked this hotel as a venue for our wedding and it was HORRIBLE. The staff is overworked and (sad to say) incompetent. I could tell you everything that went wrong but I'd be here all day, so here's an overview:
-The wedding planner got ever possible detail of the wedding wrong from the number of guests to the type of flowers. I had to re-confirm details with her almost on a daily basis and still she got them wrong, even forgetting who I WAS.
-When guests called to reserve rooms they were first told that our wedding wasn't being held there. Then they were told to CALL BACK because the person at the desk did not know how to reserve rooms.
-Some of my guests had rooms with doors that did not lock
-We got trapped in an elevator
-They played the wrong music when I was walking down the "aisle"
-The wedding officiant pronounced us the WRONG man and wife
-They lost my wedding cake and tried to pass off some other bride's cake as my own
-The waitting staff kept hassling my guests during the dinner about issues ranging from the food the children ate to the drinks that were served and they threw a fit when they lightly taped glasses for us to kiss. ( we had very few guests)
-While taking photographs the wedding planner interupted and threw everyone out of the chapel because she had booked another wedding too close to ours.
-The night before while showing the chapel to my family a NAKED MAN was visible in the hotel next to ours. What a lovely thing to see in the chapel.
The only positive experience was the view from our room. The falls are very beautiful. Please, please do NOT book here if you're planning a wedding.
the trip up the tower was very fast and then the doors opened and everything went wrong! Staff overworked, rude, completely ignored us. We had made a reservation and waited in a queue for 20 minutes. Terrible view there are 2 sets of seats the ones you can see everything and the inside set where you can see people's heads and nothing else. It was unfriendly, very, very expensive food and not worth going to visit or eat there. Too many excellent retaurants and eating places in Niagara Falls to waste your hard earned cash! our bill came to over UK90 and I left most of my meal as it was cold, no taste and I did not get a drink either as they were all too busy. Will not be back
Although lacking in posh amenities, our stay here was very unique. We had our room on the penthouse level, floor 30.
The room, although small, was very well decorated and afforded all the amenities of a larger suite. It was quiet, with much going on around the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel as different kind of place to stay while visiting Niagara Falls, Ontario.
My wife and I were in Niagara Falls for our anniversary. We stayed at a nearby hotel and received free passes to the Minolta Tower. When we got up there, we were pretty disappointed. Although the view was very good, the entire decor needs updating. Seriously. I don't see how this major landmark could go so long without sprucing up a bit.
If I had paid for this attraction, I wouldn't have been very happy about it.
Maybe we were spoiled having a room that overlooked the Falls, but again, with other competition in the area, I think they should consider some changes.
